Hi guys, finally I have had the chance to look at your fantastic new set up. Lucy you are very gifted, a very well done from me...great job.

As you know I have recently returned from the Dreamstore Active Awards Ceromony, and was proud to accept 2 awards on your behalf. 2007 should be a great year at Cwm Hedd, as the fishery profile is being raised at a some pace. On behalf of Environment Agency Wales and myself I wish you all the very best, and look forward to continuing my involvement with the family for the benefit of angling in Wales.

Keep up the good work
Best Wishes

We came to Newport for a weeks holiday and had planned to come to the National Fishing Week event at Cwm Hedd Lakes.

We had a fantastic day although the weather wasn't great we were determined to stay as a lot of effort had gone in to setting up the day. My daughter caught her first fish and she had a pink fly made for her. We fell in love with the place and made a few friends.

A super day and well done to everyone for their effort. We will come back!

Many thanks

Hi Linda,

Thank you for inviting me  back to Cwm Hedd Trout Lakes on the 23rd august, it was a very enjoyable day, it was a shame about the weather but that didn't seem to dampen the enthusiasum , there were still lots of smileing faces and lots of people wanting to fish,

I was pleased to be invited back to Cwm Hedd to view the first faze of access improvements.   We dont often get invited back to a fishery once we have completed an access audit report.

My first sighting of the improvements was when i drove through the gate at the top of the hill and straight away i could see what  has been achieved in a short space of time. I couldn't wait to get a closer look,  when i did the improvements were better than i ever imagined, a new sweeping path to reduce the gradient and the new path and platforms along the front of the lake could never be improved on, absolutely perfect access for all.

on the day i  had lots of positive feedback from the coaches and general public on how good the facilities are,  "it is the best they have seen."  It is a good example of making a fishery accessible for all , Cwm Hedd has set a very high standard and as the BDAA access audit officer I was very pleased with the quality of the work, what a difference from my first visit back in February to what it looks like now, Well done and a big thank you to Gwyn, Linda and all at Cwm Hedd they should be very proud of what they have achieved and i wish them all the very best for the future.

Hello Linda
I really enjoyed my day out at Cwm Hedd for national fishing week, me and my friends all had a great time doing

some fly casting, a little bit of coarse fishing and especially eating a good ol' burger.

Will definitely be there next year and will bring my friends as well.
all the best,

spanner

*note from Lucy - we don't normally allow coarse fishing, it was something of a treat for National Fishing Week!*
